Our Story:
The company was founded by Joe Collazo, whose career throughout the Northeast has supported a wide range of material processing industries from parts and field service work to application support and sales management. More specifically, Joe’s background includes extensive work supporting recycling and C&D operations, waste and organics processing, sand and gravel mines, Earth moving equipment and attachments, and much more. This hands-on experience and sales leadership contributes to how Nor’East Equipment operates today – practical and responsive with a focus on delivering real solutions. Joe’s direct field experience means he understands how equipment performs in real world conditions – not just on paper. He has spent years helping businesses troubleshoot and resolve challenges that others overlooked, especially smaller customers relying on legacy plant equipment that still needed to operate efficiently. This experience includes extensive hands-on work with CEC, Road Runner, and Screen-It plants through its ongoing partnership with RD Olson. Nor’East Equipment continues to support these systems by helping customers maximize equipment lifespan, optimize performance, and realize the value of their existing plants through strategic planning and systematic improvements.
How it started:
Nor’East Equipment was created to address a demand Joe observed firsthand across New England: customers not receiving the level of attention, support, and honest guidance they deserved regardless of size. Smaller companies were often overlooked while larger operations struggled to obtain timely, results-driven support. From the beginning, the mission was clear: build a company that is responsive, reliable, and fully committed to seeing every job through to completion.
