Who We Are

Nor’East Equipment - real experience, not just equipment sales.

The company was founded by Joe Collazo, whose career throughout the Northeast has supported a wide range of material processing industries. From parts and service work in the field to application support, sales, and sales management, that hands-on background shapes how Nor’East Equipment operates today: practical, responsive, and focused on solving real problems for customers.

Joe’s time working directly in the field means he understands how equipment actually performs day to day , not just how it looks on paper. He’s spent years helping operations troubleshoot challenges others walked past, particularly smaller customers running older plants that still needed to perform reliably.

That experience includes extensive hands-on work with CEC, Road Runner, and Screen-It plants which Nor’East Equipment continues to support through its relationship with RD Olson, helping customers extend the life, performance, and value of existing plants while planning smart upgrades when the time is right.

Why Nor’East Equipment Was Started

Nor’East Equipment was created to meet a need Joe saw firsthand across New England: customers of all sizes were not getting the attention, support, or honest guidance they deserved. Smaller operations were often overlooked, while larger customers still struggled to get timely, solutions-driven support.

The goal from day one was simple: build a company that shows up, answers the phone, and stays committed until the job is done.

What We’re Known For

Getting the Job Done! When a challenge arises, we stay engaged until it’s resolved. • Picking up the phone Giving real answers, no runaround. • Process-first thinking We focus on screening efficiency, material flow, recovery, and uptime, not just selling machines. • Helping where others won’t Especially in operations running older or mixed-equipment plants.

Experience That Shapes Our Approach

Joe’s background includes extensive work supporting:

• Recycling and C&D operations • Waste and organics processing • Sand & Gravel Mines • Earth Moving Equipment & Attachments

That experience allows Nor’East Equipment to provide guidance that’s realistic, cost-aware, and grounded in how plants actually run.

Our Philosophy

At this stage, what matters most is simple: put the customer first.

That means recommending solutions that make sense for the operation, staying available when support is needed, and helping customers avoid costly mistakes — whether they’re running a small recycling yard or a large aggregate operation.

Nor’East Equipment is built to be a long-term partner, not just a supplier.
